“With the right ideas and the courage to translate them into effective actions, you will succeed.” - Albert Schweitzer Presidium Dwarka 22 has the same vision as we believe that the students' learning is adequately garnered by schools. Considering that besides academic brilliance, extracurricular activities, public speaking and knowledge of world affairs are also key areas of learning, we recently organized a PMUN (Presidium Model United Nations) Training Session for our students. The main objective behind PMUN is to inculcate the spirit of active citizens of tomorrow in our students and to enhance this, we collaborated with Brainwiz for a training session, which will be of great support to our Presidians during the PMUN. Full of zeal, the students attended a two-day learning experience, wherein they learnt and also experienced being a delegate and diplomat of a country. Representing their assigned country, they learnt about working of the UN and making draft resolution after debating on the problem 'Right to Freedom of Religion'. The trainers gave them valuable feedback at regular intervals and also guided them about the usage of important UN documents to oppose and support the views of different delegates. It was a treat to watch our young Presidians from grades 7 to 11 coming together and sharing the same platform of learning. The training for sure has been a very successful endeavour for enhancing their knowledge about the upcoming PMUN and will further open the minds of students to the vast issues that affect our lives outside the classroom walls.
