Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I'll learn!
Keeping in mind the above philosophy, Presidians of grade 5 from Dwarka 22 were given a golden opportunity to witness the process of 'seed germination'. They were given hands-on experience to examine the process in a fun-filled way. The purpose of the activity was to make the students understand the process of seed germination, to know about the conditions required for the same and visualize the different parts of root system. Children were provided with materials like soil, jar and kidney beans. They anxiously performed the experiment, which was followed by a conversation round on the same that exemplified their learning. The results of the experiment were observed regularly over the period of time. It was overall an inordinate platform for students to build relationship between learning and happening in class and the real life world.
