Self-protection is indeed the need of the hour, seeing the present crime situations in our society!
Considering that children can be easy targets for anti-social elements, it is very important to equip our students with the power to face and handle any odd situation. With this mission, an assembly on self-protection was recently conducted by students of grades nursery and prep at Presidium, Dwarka 22. The assembly began with a captivating speech on the need of self-protection, which was followed by inspirational slogans and a beautiful skit on 'good touch and bad touch. They also suggested few ways on what to do if they ever face any such situation and how to tackle strangers who disturb them, like 'scream, bite, kick & wave your hands', 'speak out & stay safe” and 'run, run, yell & tell'. Students in Taekwondo dress showed some self-defense tricks to emphasize the importance of learning self-defense. Summing up the assembly with the song 'when I was walking to school', the Presidians emphasized that 'awareness is power'.
