Today, our world is facing various challenges that undermine peace, security, development and social harmony among the people. To confront these crises, their root causes must be addressed by promoting and defending a shared spirit of human solidarity that takes many forms, the simplest of which is 'friendship'. Aiming to promote the need of raising and strengthening the bond of friendship between countries, the Presidians of grade 1 to 3 spearheaded an assembly on the 'International Day of Friendship'. Through a well-presented skit, they showcased how all the humans are becoming enemies of humanity, making our mother Earth suffer and also how terrorism has ruined our faith in secularism.
With an enthralling dance performance on the song 'the world is a rainbow' and a small presentation, the talented students exhibited the diversities in dance forms of various countries. Generating passion for a better world where all are united for the greater good, the assembly showcased importance of accumulating bonds of camaraderie, developing strong ties of trust and weaving a safety net through the essence of friendship.
