PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO SPREAD PEACE & BROTHERHOOD ON GANDHI JAYANTI
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated with great fervor and bliss to honour Mahatma Gandhi, an epitome of love and peace, fondly known as the Father of Nation. On this occasion, a special assembly was conducted by the students of grade Nursery and Prep which commenced with Ram dhun followed by an informative student and teacher interaction paying a tribute to Gandhiji. Presidians highlighted the contributions of Gandhiji’s noble work in attaining freedom for the country through a theatrical dance performance. By celebrating the greatness of Mahatma Gandhi, the students pledged to adopt principles of honesty, humbleness, truth and non violence.
VISIT TO RELIGIOUS PLACES: INSTILLING LOVE FOR ALL RELIGIONS
In sync with the theme ‘Religious Communities’, a visit to religious places was organised wherein the students went to Singh Sabha Gurudwara, Iskcon Temple, Church of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Mosque . The visit helped the young Presidians build connections with people belonging from different communities. They meticulously indulged and adapted to the kaleidoscope of the religious ethnicity and witnessed various ceremonies being conducted. They chanted various hymns in the temple, Mool Mantra in the Gurudwara and verses in the Church. The students noticed the different attires worn by people at the places of worship such as in temples, saints were wearing dhoti, pugdi and kurta-pyjama in Gurudwara. They also observed that each religion bears a different symbol. Overall, it was a visit wherein the Presidians experienced and learnt fruitful practices with direct observations.
PBL: INTERACTIVE WAY TO LEARN ABOUT FOOD PRESERVATION
Project Based Learning is a powerful instructional method for weaving various concepts and skills in curriculum using real life experiences. It follows the ideology of experiential learning. Focusing on the same ideology and in sync with the PBL theme- Food preservation, Presidians of grade 5 were given a platform to present their learning through presentations. Students, while giving presentations on the various topics related to food preservation, explicated teamwork which is one of the basic skills to be enhanced during the learning process.
PRESIDIANS DISPLAY THEIR SPORTSMANSHIP AT SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP
It is truly said that a competition provides motivation to achieve a goal, and to demonstrate determination, creativity and perseverance to overcome challenges. With this aim, Presidium Dwarka 22 organized the 2nd Inter Presidium Skating Championship. All the students participated actively with utmost zeal and displayed great enthusiasm, team spirit and sportsman spirit. Distinguished achievements of the students were recognized by Mr. S.P. Agarwal in the form of medals, certificates and trophies. The winners were applauded for their positive attitude and dedication towards the sport.
WORLD LITERACY DAY: PRESIDIANS PLEDGE LITERACY FOR ALL
‘Keep yourself educated and never stop learning’ was the message disseminated by the students of grade 10 of Presidium Dwarka 22 with immense pride and jubilation in an enriching and informative assembly to raise awareness about literacy issues. The Literacy Day celebrations were in sync with UNESCO’s theme for the year 2018 ‘Literacy and Skills Development’. The students performed an inspiring and motivating skit, gave thought provoking speeches and recited stimulating poems to emphasize that the way oxygen is essential for the survival, similarly education holds its significance in preparing people to face life.
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE GANESH CHATURTHI WITH UTMOST DEVOTION & JOY
The birth of Lord Ganesha is celebrated with utmost enthusiasm all over the country on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Lord Ganesha is also known as ‘Vighna Vinashaka’, which means, one who destroys and remove obstacles. Students of Presidium Dwarka 22 organised a special assembly on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The talented Presidians enacted the rituals of the festival and explained how it is celebrated with euphoria. The students showed how the idols of Lord Ganesha are installed in pandals. They were delighted and thrilled to see how Lord Ganesha is welcomed and at the end of the festival, the idol of the deity is immersed in holy rivers. The celebration came to an end with loud chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’.

ज्ञानी के मुख से झरे, सदा ज्ञान की बात।
हर एक पंखुड़ी फूल, खुशबू की सौगात।।
ये सर्वविदित है कि हमारे जीवन को सँवारने में शिक्षक एक बड़ी और महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते है। सफलता प्राप्ति के लिये वो हमें कई प्रकार से मदद करते है जैसे हमारे ज्ञान, कौशल के स्तर, विश्वास आदि को बढ़ाते है तथा हमारे जीवन को सही आकार में ढ़ालते है। हम सभी को एक आज्ञाकारी विद्यार्थी के रुप में अपने शिक्षक का दिल से अभिनंदन करने की जरुरत है और जीवनभर अध्यापन के अपने निस्स्वार्थ सेवा के लिये साथ ही अपने अनगिनत विद्यार्थीयों के जीवन को सही आकार देने के लिये उन्हें धन्यवाद देना चाहिए । शिक्षक दिवस (जो हर साल 5 सितंबर को मनाया जाता है) हम सभी के लिए उन्हें धन्यवाद देने और अपना एक दिन उनके साथ बिताने के लिए ये एक महान अवसर है।
इसी अवसर की महत्ता को छात्रों को समझाते हुए प्रिसिडियम द्वारका-22 में शिक्षक दिवस का आयोजन किया गया | प्रिसिडियम स्कूल ने 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस के साथ–साथ हिंदी भाषा की महत्ता को दर्शाते हुए हिंदी दिवस भी मनाया । सभी छात्रों को शिक्षक दिवस का जश्न मनाने के लिए बहुत खुशी हुई थी।
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE TEACHERS’ DAY WITH MATHAROO SIR
Presidium School,Dwarka 22, solemnly celebrated Teachers’ day with great gusto and gaiety on 4 September , 2018. The day buzzed with excitement and smiles all around. The comperes of the show commenced the programme by bringing everyone’s attention to the immense importance of the teachers and the role they play in children’s lives. The cynosure of the eyes was the presence of the enterprising and indomitable Chairman of the school, Mr G. S. Matharoo Sir who is persistent in expanding the capacity of the institution to its optimum level. He has made unrelenting efforts in equipping the students to meet the changing needs of the society, exploring the professional potential of the teachers and cultivating a happy and motivating environment in the school. The distinguished guest lit the lamp by paying tribute to the famous teacher, academic philosopher and the second President of India, Mr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan who was of the opinion that only the right kind of education could solve many ills of the society and the country. Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The event concluded with the Chairman, Mr. G.S Matharoo Sir , extending his heartiest thanks to the teachers who are the cornerstone of students’ future. It was truly a
day that left indelible impression on the teachers who basked in the love and attention they received from their students!
FOSTERING THE FEELING OF GRATITUDE WITH A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY
One of the most important quality one must possess is that of acknowledging other’s efforts and simply saying ‘Thank You’. The simple feeling of being grateful can become the silver lining in this harsh and forgetful world. Keeping this in mind, students of grades 6 and 7 of Presidium Dwarka 22 organised a special assembly on ‘Attitude of Gratitude’. The assembly began with a prayer, followed by news headlines. The students presented their thoughts on this noble act and reminded everyone of the power of gratitude. Students spoke about the power lying within us to bring the change through a simple change in attitude. Following the message they were spreading, the students thanked the teachers, the support staff, workers, management and fellow students for the work they do.
PRESIDIANS MEET PRESIDENT, SHRI. RAMNATH KOVIND ON RAKSHA BANDHAN
'The thread of Rakhi is so very powerful that it can bring even two people from different communities together and let them share this pious relationship of brothers and sisters.'
Rakshabandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, few academic achievers of Presidium Dwarka 22 got the opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, the abode of the President of the world's largest democracy. They joyously tied rakhi to the honorable President of India, Mr.Ramnath Kovind. Students also visited the marble museum to witness the painstaking efforts of thousands of labourers in fashioning of the magnificent Rashtrapati Bhawan along with the souvenirs that India has received from various countries.
