PAYING HOMAGE TO 'FATHER OF THE NATION' ON HIS BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

The birth of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated with much excitement and pomp by the Presidians of grades 1 to 3 with a special assembly at Dwarka 22. The participants were dressed up in alluring white traditional dresses to symbolize peace as his main principle and portrayed him as the matchless political leader, who led the nation towards freedom. The assembly began with a special tribute to Gandhi Ji, wherein the students shared anecdotes from his life. Going a step forward in helping students understand all about the freedom struggle and the role of Mahatma Gandhi in helping us win our independence non-violently, the skit by the students of was presented, which ignited a feel of patriotism in the audience. Paying homage to the 'Father of the Nation', the entire Presidium school seemed to feel the essence of Gandhi Ji's presence.
PRESIDIANS EMBARK AN INFORMATIVE TOUR TO EXPLORE FEATURES OF SOIL
The main aim of the theme 'soil' is to emphasize that soil is a vital part of our environment. To inculcate the feeling of belongingness of soil as a major component of our environment, our students from Presidium Dwarka 22 recently embarked a fun-filled, yet informative tour across varied domains. Engaging and playing with soil to explore its basic features, they learnt different concepts related to soil at a very simple and concrete level. Their experiences of observing, smelling and feeling soil helped them in learning about the texture, colour, availability and other features of soil. To revisit all the concepts learnt under the theme, TBL culmination was organised by grade 1 students. Things made up of soil were displayed along with the material which was created by them. Students were keen to express their learning and were able to relate it with the same.
LITTLE PRESIDIANS FONDLY CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF GOOD OVER EVIL
The blissful festival of Dussehra is unique in its perception and significance. According to the great Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Rama killed Ravana on the tenth day and this day is celebrated as Dussehra. It is called as triumph of virtue over sin or immorality. To keep the above objective, young Presidians of Dwarka 22 conducted a special assembly on Dusshera, which began with pulling the strings of melody by singing morning prayers. A valuable thought of the day was shared - ‘Dusshera is a festival of good over evil' by students of grades nursery and prep. This was followed by a devotional dance performance depicted by our cute, little Presidians as all the main characters of Ramayana. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for everyone.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON 'BOOKS MY BEST FRIENDS' ENTHRALLS PRESIDIANS
Reading a good book is like taking a journey! They may look like pages full of dull print, but they open a door to a wondrous world of magic, mystery, wild imagination, legendary icons and ordinary heroes, adventure, love... all created through a fantastic interplay of words.
On the beautiful theme 'books my best friends’, the students of grades nursery and prep from Presidium Dwarka 22 recently conducted a special assembly. It started with some inspiring thoughts shared by students, emphasizing the importance of reading, which was followed by a skit, presenting the books as a medium to transport to another world. To add on, a thrilling dance performance was presented on the song ‘I love reading’. The act was enjoyed by all and helped students understand how a book can be a special friend.
INTER-CLASS DANCE CONTEST:A COLLECTION OF PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCES

Dance, being a powerful medium to express thoughts and actions, is specially catered to as an important extra-curricular engagement at Presidium Dwarka 22. Recently, an 'inter-class dance competition' was organized for our young Presidians. The participants came dressed in astounding attires and tapped their feet on vibrant songs folk and English songs. Inculcating a healthy environment, the exploration of various dance moves exhibited their versatile talents and also showcased their competitive skills. The competition was a truly mesmerizing collection of phenomenal performances.
PLEDGING TO BE THE ENVOYS OF PEACE ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
Non-violence has always been looked upon as idealist fantasy but over and over again, people have come out and shown the power of peaceful protests. The truth is that violence is not a necessity for revolution. Unity wins over every enemy no matter how powerful and violent it might be. To commemorate the peaceful and noble contribution of our revolutionaries, the International Day of Peace was celebrated by the Presidians of grade 3 from Dwarka 22 through a special assembly. The 'leaders of tomorrow' pledged to opt for the way of non-violence over violence by serving as the 'messengers of peace'. They concluded the assembly on the note that 'anything violence can do, peace can do better as peace is the way for a better world for you and me.
SCIENCE CULMINATION: INTEGRATED APPROACH OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Culmination is tagged as an important aspect of experiential learning as it isn't just the conclusion, but the end result of all the achievements. Hence, keeping in mind the importance of culmination and pedagogy of Presidium, our young students of grades 4 and 5 participated in the Science culmination recently. The motive of the culmination was to develop scientific temper in our Presidians. Packed with full zeal and zest, the students showcased their learning to all by either explaining or demonstrating varied concepts of 'plants', 'food', 'human body', 'animals' and 'water'. Pleased to spot their own displayed work, they were anxious to pose questions to the visitors, play games, perform experiments that boosted their morale, thereby expanding a lot of knowledge by LEARNING BY DOING.
SHOW & TELL OF EARTHENWARE: A GREAT EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING SESSION
To inculcate the importance of soil among our young students, the activity 'show and tell of earthenware' was recently conducted at Presidium, Dwarka 22. The Presidians explored different earthenware in market to bring one to share its importance and usage. They were excited to discuss about the various earthenware such as pots, vases, incense stick stands, money banks, diyas and tumblers. Students displayed a plethora of knowledge to imply the usage of all the objects. They discussed the physical and social factors affecting the usage and making of these objects. It was a great session of experiential learning which contributed to expansion of knowledge for the theme 'soil'.
प्रेसिडियंस ने हास्य कवि उत्सव द्वारा हिन्दी दिवस मनाया
निज भाषा उन्नति अहै सब उन्नति कौ मूल,
बिनु निज भाषा ज्ञान के मिटै ना हिय को सूल|
इसी भाव को आत्मसात करते हुए, प्रेसिडियम द्वारका २२ में हाल ही में हिंदी दिवस को एक रोचक 'हास्य कवि उत्सव' के रूप में बड़ी धूम-धाम से मनाया गया| कक्षा १ से ३ के विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर इस सम्मेलन में हिस्सा लिया| जाने-माने हास्य कवि श्री प्रेम किशोर पटाखा जी इस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आए और हमारे विद्यालय के परिसर को आनंदित कर दिया|
हमारे नन्हें-मुन्हें बच्चों ने बड़े ही सृजनात्मक और व्यंगात्मक तरीके से पूरी बुलंदी और आत्मविश्वास के साथ अपनी भावनाओं को कविता के माध्यम से व्यक्त किया| उनकी कविताओं में उनके व्यावहारिक, पारिवारिक और सामाजिक जीवन की छटा स्पष्टता से देखी जा सकती थी| बच्चों ने अपनी हास्य कविताओं से दर्शकों को खिलखिलाकर हँसने में मजबूर कर दिया| हास्य कविता को लेकर बच्चों में पूरा जोश और ख़ासा उत्साह देखने को मिला| अंत में हमारे माननीय मुख्य अतिथि जी ने अपने अनमोल शब्दों द्वारा हमारे बच्चों का उत्साह बढ़ाया और उन्हें प्रोत्साहित किया|
PRESIDIANS MAKE PHOTO FRAMES & SHARE ABOUT THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS
The theme of 'my home' broadly caters to the family and home of the child. To help our little Presidians learn about their home better, a 'photo frame making' activity was organized at Presidium, Dwarka 22. This activity was started by giving a rectangular piece of cardboard to the students, on which coloured chart was already pasted. Then the family photographs of the students, which they were asked to bring from their homes, were pasted on it. Students were helped to make interesting border using dry sparkles and mirrors. During this activity, the students shared about their family members freely after looking at the family photographs.
