WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY ASSEMBLY:SPREADING THE MESSAGE OF HUMANITY
"The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity." - Leo Tolstoy
On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, grade 6 to 11 students of Presidium Dwarka 22 organized a morning assembly. The open environment and gathering of students gave way to the purpose for which this event was organized. Senior students shared the significance of this day and brought our attention to this year’s theme given by UN - 'not a target'. They talked about the conflicts taking a massive toll on people’s lives around the world. Trapped in wars, how millions of civilians are forced to hide or run for their lives. Children are taken out of schools, families are displaced from their homes and communities are torn apart. Our students proposed a plan to resolve the problems within the community by creating awareness and spreading a message of love respect and tolerance. A student recited a meaningful self-composed poem, which awakened the audience to the conditions prevailing in the world. It stirred emotions and left us with deep reflections into the plight of the people around us, reminding us of our duties of being a human.
ENHANCING LEARNING THROUGH CULMINATION OF SUMMER & RAINY SEASONS
Culmination as an activity in TBL is highly effective as through this, we can focus on all the concepts along with their linkages with each other. Grade Nursery recently took up culmination of themes 'summer and rainy seasons'. During this fun-filled culmination, the students explored various fun characteristics of summer and rainy weather like kind of foods eaten, clothes worn and appliances used. Students recited beautiful rhymes like 'summer is here' and ' rain-rain go away' in connection to the theme, which made the culmination more interactive and lively. With 'show and tell activity', the learning of the Presidians was further enhanced.
RAISING AWARENESS FOR CAUSES & PREVENTION OF DENGUE & CHIKUNGUNYA

They also suggested preventive and remedial measures to prevent mosquito bites. All the little Presidians were divided in their clubs to showcase the solutions with different slogans like 'don’t let water stagnant around', 'wear full sleeve clothes', 'clean water coolers' and 'use mosquito repellents'. Packed with great enthusiasm and excitement, the 'leaders of tomorrow' successfully created awareness among their peer groups.
INTER-CLUB SKIT COMPETITION:RAISING AWARENESS FOR CRITICAL ISSUES
Dramatic play helps in development of life skills in children to set them on a path for a successful and confident life!
By playing improvisational games, young actors learn to think quick on their feet and to be flexible by going with the flow. To improve on-stage problem-solving skills of our students, Presidium Dwarka22 recently organized an inter-club skit competition. Presidians of grades 6 to 8 exhibited their finesse in theatrical skills through skits based on social issues like 'each one teach one - importance of education', 'child labour' and 'go green with life'. Enhancing our students' awareness about their critical issues of today, the fun-filled skit competition also prepared them to be a good citizen of tomorrow.

MIME SHOW OFFERS A FUN-FILLED LEARNING EXPERIENCE USING ACTIONS
In sync with the theme 'communication' in EVS, a club activity was organized at Presidium Dwarka 22 recently. The main objective behind conducting this activity was to make the children learn the importance of mime and get sensitized towards the ones who cannot speak and hear. The Presidians watched mime being performed by professionals and enacted the same by getting a clearer understanding of non-verbal communication using gestures and expressions. The main highlights were the different scenarios that were given to children to make the activity more fruitful in terms of both learning and fun.
